CH Ducat Watermark Thnkful 4 Teddy Bear BVOSS

On January 12, 2008 Carrie, Wanda, and I drove down to Leander, Texas to pick up Teddy. I purchased “Teddy,” Am CH. Ducat Watermark Thnkful 4 Teddy Bear, from Helen Dorrance of Ducat Golden Retrievers and Mary Tatum D.V.M. of Watermark Retrievers.

Helen took a chance on a newbie and I am forever grateful to her! Teddy took a while to mature, but when he did he turned into a beautiful boy! Janice Hayes beautifully showed Teddy to his AKC Championship. Teddy and Janice quickly picked up all his points and 1 major within 3 months. Then Teddy held out for 6 more months to get that last major. He is my first Champion and I love my big Bear to pieces.

Teddy most importantly displays an easy and loving temperament, a true Golden Retriever temperament. His name truly fits his personality, as he is a Big Teddy Bear.

Standing 24 inches at the shoulder, his length from prosternum to ischium is 26 1/4 inches, and he weighs around 75 lbs. Teddy is an elegant blonde dog. Teddy has many correct features. He has a magnificent head with a correct broad flat backskull. A wonderful stop leading to a thick square muzzle and a strong underjaw. Teddy has a perfect scissor bite, with full dentition and no dropped incisors. Teddy has a kind and gentle expression with soft dark brown eyes.

He has a solid topline standing and on the move, good angulation in the rear and an outstanding front assembly, correct length of upper arm, good prosternum, and well-laid-back shoulder. A nice short loin. He has ample bone and a correct coat. Wonderful reach and drive and is clean coming and going. There is no wasted movement with this boy. He just keeps getting better with age!
